Foundation
Every team was rebuilding the same Postgres image. Foundation means nobody has to again.
InfrastructureRepository
The Problem
Every team needing vector search, geospatial queries, or object storage was rebuilding its own stack. Foundation gives everyone one tested image and repeatable environments, so dev and prod stop quietly drifting apart.
The Solution
Shared infrastructure for PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO object storage, and Docker Compose environments across the organization.
What it does
- One PostgreSQL 18 image with pgvector, PostGIS, and pgRouting compiled in
- Redis and MinIO object storage running alongside Postgres in one Compose stack
- Automated releases through GitHub Actions and semantic versioning
- Digest-pinned images with a machine-readable service catalog
What took work
- Compiling three extensions into one reliable PostgreSQL image
- Making every deployment reproducible with immutable digests
- Shipping infrastructure updates without a manual release ritual
